Hart Road, Thundersley

Ashby Design Ltd are pleased to have been involved in a recent full planning submission for a development of 44 new affordable homes in Thundersley, in conjunction with L& G Affordable Homes.

The development utilises an area of Green Belt land that is pending allocation for housing within the emerging Local Plan and proposes a 100% affordable mix of two and three bedroom modular homes. It will contribute to an urgent need for housing in the Castlepoint Borough, where 353 homes are required per year to satisfy demand.

 

The proposal proactively and positively responds to the landscape and ecological needs of the site while providing potential integration with future surrounding HO20 masterplan sites. In addition, the proposed modular construction of homes, with enhanced building fabric and implementation of sustainable energy sources and systems, provides an opportunity to achieve EPC-A rated homes with high quality and generous internal and external spaces for future occupiers.
